Notably, his latest achievement as of 2023 is being shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious 38th AOP Photography Awards.

GSP had the perfect location. The Inyoni Outdoor Studio had everything Ryan was looking for. To complement the clear blue sky, they applied a coat of orange paint to some of the walls. The chosen models could move and perform while being photographed, highlighting the form of the human body against the vibrant backdrop.

In conclusion, the Big Sky shoot was successful, showcasing Ryan Edy’s exceptional talent and artistic vision. The prop-heavy brief called for vintage-inspired sports equipment, garden furniture, and accessories, evoking a sense of nostalgia and tradition. Tea in a beautifully manicured English garden tied everything together, perfectly capturing the essence of relaxed, countryside living.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Joules, a be loved British clothing and homeware brand inspired by the charm of British country living, for several years. Their vibrant, quintessentially British style brings a unique energy to every project we collaborate on. To bring the creative brief for Joules to life, we focused on creating a setting that perfectly embodied the brand’s countryside charm. Luckily, Cape Town offers a wide variety of British-style manors and country houses with stunning gardens. After careful consideration, our team suggested several country-style locations, and the campaign was ultimately shot at the beautiful Ballaster, Bishopview, and Heatherfields. We suggested the cut-off highway in the city center of Cape Town as the perfect location to meet the Kennel & Schmenger brief. This setting provided a stunning backdrop of the city and its skyscrapers, perfectly capturing the desired urban, edgy vibe. Talented photographer Knut Woerner brought this vision to life, producing incredible images that showcased the urban scapes to the fullest, making the campaign a resounding success.

KALITA's new Spring/Summer global campaign showcases the brand's dresses that are suitable for any time of the day. This involved shooting the local talent in various locations around Cape Town during both the afternoon and evening. KALITA is a luxury fashion brand that draws inspiration from the elegant fashion icons of the 60s. The brand is known for its beautiful and versatile dresses, with a focus on open-back designs. KALITA approached Gavin Schnieder Productions to collaborate on their new spring/summer global campaign.

Over the course of two days, our team meticulously produced the shoot at the incredible Inyoni Studios, a perfect backdrop for this fragrance celebration. Photographer

We undertook the responsibility of producing a series of images for Davidoff's centenary campaign. The client expressed their desire to capture all models in silhouette against exquisite backdrops that would embody the brand's premium quality. The shoot was arranged on short notice, presenting us with a thrillingly tight deadline.

Davidoff Cigars is a well-known cigar manufacturer that produces premium cigars known for their quality and craftsmanship. With Davidoff's centenary campaign, they wanted a series of images that would reflect the brand's premium quality and celebrate its long history.

Despite the challenging time constraints, we successfully delivered images that surpassed the client's expectations. We carefully selected top professional models, ensuring impeccable profiles and postures that perfectly embodied the brand's essence. The shoot took place on a rooftop terrace in Cape Town, where we ingeniously recreated a section of The Grand Hotel using scaffolding and enchanting fairy lights.

For this project, we enlisted the experienced photographer Dean De Sparengo. The pressure of the tight deadline brought out the best in our team, who demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and expertise in model scouting and casting, location scouting and recce, equipment hire, and transport hire. The primary objective of the Uber Eats advertising campaign was to showcase the convenience and quality of Uber Eats’ food delivery service. It required a visually stunning production that would engage viewers and communicate the message effectively. The brief emphasized the need for a high level of attention to detail, particularly in the presentation of the food. The campaign sought to highlight the diverse range of cuisines available through Uber Eats, appealing to the varied tastes of millennials.

Uber Eats is a top online food delivery platform, connecting users with a wide range of restaurants. With a user-friendly app, customers can order food conveniently and track deliveries in real time. They approached us at Gavin Schneider Productions to produce their Uber Eats Advertising Campaign.

GSP brought a professional chef on set to ensure visually appealing food, preparing dishes to the highest standard and capturing the attention of the target audience. The brief for the Canon campaign aimed to inspire the audience to explore a variety of lenses to capture subjects in new and interesting ways, or simply with higher quality than before. The campaign's layout, designed to be energetic, bold, and confident, utilized a grid system to showcase 1, 2, 3, or 4 examples of images taken with different lenses, illustrating the versatility and unique qualities of each lens. By showing multiple angles of the same subject, the campaign effectively highlighted how the right lens can transform a good photograph into a great one.

We were extremely excited to work with Canon, a global leader in photographic and digital imaging solutions, to showcase the versatility and quality of their diverse lens range. The campaign in Cape Town highlighted Canon's commitment to innovation and excellence in capturing stunning visuals, demonstrating the remarkable capabilities of their lenses in various settings.

With Cape Town's diverse talent pool and incredible locations, we opted for shooting at the vibrant Philippi Village, which boasts a unique blend of urban, rural, industrial, and natural elements, contributing to its distinctive character within the city. For the beach scenes, we chose the stunning Camps Bay beach, known for its palm tree-lined walkways and picturesque views. The talent did not disappoint; we cast incredible street dancers, fitness and sports enthusiasts, and captured the rich diversity of ethnicities that Cape Town has to offer. These choices perfectly aligned with the brief's call for versatility and dynamic visuals, resulting in a campaign that truly showcased the capabilities of Canon's lenses.

Sacoor Brothers approached GS Productions with the objective of finding a skilled photographer for their campaign in Cape Town. The client wanted someone who could capture the essence of their brand while utilizing the unique backdrop and natural lighting of the city. We were entrusted with the task of recommending a photographer who could meet these requirements and deliver exceptional results.

Sacoor Borthers, a renowned fashion brand, approached us for their latest campaign. Traditionally, they had shot their campaigns in Los Angeles. However, they wanted to explore the creative potential of Cape Town.

Gavin Schneider immediately thought of Matthew Brookes as the perfect fit for Sacoor Brothers' campaign in Cape Town. Brookes, a talented photographer, had been raised in South Africa and had a close connection with Gavin since the early 90s. In fact, Gavin had even lent his cameras to Brookes when he was just starting out.

Despite Brookes' current status as one of the most sought-after celebrities and fashion photographers in the world, GS Productions approached him with the opportunity. Recognizing the significance of the project and his deep connection to Cape Town, Brookes agreed to be a part of it.

The 3-day shoot took place at a magnificent house located in Constantia. Brookes immediately fell in love with the location, praising its exceptional natural lighting, which he considered one of the best he had ever worked with. With his expertise, Brookes effortlessly captured the spirit of the Sacoor Brothers' brand, blending it harmoniously with the captivating landscapes and unique atmosphere of Cape Town.

The production turned out to be a success. As a testament to the fruitful collaboration and the remarkable outcome, Sacoor Brothers decided to return to Cape Town the following year for another campaign, once again with Matthew Brookes as their chosen photographer.

EVARAE approached Gavin Schneider Productions to help bring their refined resort wear collection to life in a setting that complemented the brand’s luxurious yet effortless aesthetic. The creative direction called for expansive coastal backdrops, soft color palettes, and clean architectural lines — a campaign that felt sun-drenched, serene, and elevated.

EVARAE is a luxury swimwear and ready-to-wear brand that champions sustainable design, timeless silhouettes, and elegant minimalism. With a focus on conscious living and elevated resort style, EVARAE consistently delivers collections that balance sophistication with a sense of ease and femininity.

Captured by the talented Mark Newton, this visually striking campaign took place at the iconic Castle Rock location in Cape Town. With the ocean shimmering in the background and the clean, sculptural architecture framing each shot, the setting provided the perfect canvas for EVARAE’s exquisitely crafted swimwear and apparel.

In addition to Castle Rock, the production team sourced a striking salt pan location that offered an unexpected burst of soft pink hues — adding visual contrast and enhancing the tone of the collection. Gavin Schneider Productions handled all logistics, permits, crew coordination, and location access, ensuring a seamless and creatively rewarding shoot.

The final visuals were nothing short of breathtaking. From the luminous coastal light to the soft textures of the salt pans, the campaign captured the understated elegance of EVARAE’s designs while staying true to the brand’s identity.

Louis Vuitton approached us at Gavin Schneider Productions to create a visually captivating campaign titled "The Journey." The objective was to showcase the brand's products, particularly the iconic Louis Vuitton Luggage while capturing the essence of adventure and luxury. The campaign aimed to resonate with the target audience and reinforce Louis Vuitton's reputation as a leader in the luxury industry.

Louis Vuitton, a renowned luxury brand, is the client for this case study. With a rich heritage and global recognition, Louis Vuitton is synonymous with high-end fashion and accessories. The brand is known for its exquisite craftsmanship, iconic designs, and commitment to providing customers with a luxurious experience.

We embarked on an ambitious journey to bring "The Journey" campaign to life. The team enlisted the expertise of renowned photographer Annie Leibowitz to capture the visuals. In addition, the campaign featured the participation of Bono, the acclaimed musician, and his wife Ali Hewson, creating a trifecta of famous names at the top of their games.

To achieve the desired aesthetic, we sourced two Trail Dragger Bush Planes and extensively scouted locations throughout Kenya. After careful consideration, a tented lodge in the Mara was selected, offering a picturesque backdrop that embodied the spirit of adventure and luxury.

However, unforeseen circumstances arose...

When the entire region experienced flooding just weeks before production. In response, the team swiftly relocated the shoot to Tswalu, a lodge close to the Botswana border. Despite the challenges, the production company managed to accommodate a group of thirty people, including Bono, Hewson, and Leibowitz, in a lodge designed for fifteen.

Amfar approached Gavin Schneider Productions to produce one of the images in a series of portraits featuring the world's most influential people, aimed at raising funds for AIDS relief. The portrait focused on Nelson Mandela, the renowned anti-apartheid activist and former President of South Africa. We were privileged to be selected as the production company entrusted with overseeing the shoot.

AMFAR, also known as the Foundation for AIDS Research, is a non-profit organization with a global presence. Their mission involves actively promoting research on AIDS, educating people about HIV treatment and prevention, and advocating for public policies concerning AIDS.

Renowned photographer Mark Seliger, widely regarded as the best of the best, captured the portrait of Mandela. The shoot took place in a makeshift studio in George, along the Cape's Garden Route, during Mandela's 46664 concert tour. ASICS is known for its high-quality, performance-driven products, which incorporate innovative technology and design to help athletes achieve their best. Recently they launched a new season of thermal activewear. They approached us at Gavin Schneider Productions to shoot their Asics Global Campaign.

To accomplish this, GSP brought in high-powered lighting, flashes, generators, and bowser trucks. They commissioned a special effects company to create a dark, stormy night's battle against the elements in Civic Square, located in the city center of Cape Town. The objective was to transform a mild Cape Town summer evening into a stormy, sleeting, and snowy environment.

Securing permits from the city council was crucial in obtaining the chosen locations for the shoot. The production team cordoned off areas to ensure a spacious and unrestricted space, free from public walking and vehicles. They utilized specific buildings as backdrops, allowing them to create the desired atmosphere that could represent various locations worldwide.

The resulting photographs and videos became essential elements of Asics' marketing campaigns, effectively showcasing the technical capabilities of their clothing in extreme weather conditions.

The goal of the Samsung Advertising Campaign was to convey the tablet's durability and versatility in various challenging scenarios. The production team was tasked with capturing footage that would suggest the tablet's ability to endure extreme conditions while remaining functional. The brief emphasized the tablet's user-friendly features, highlighting that even a child could easily operate it. Additionally, the campaign aimed to establish trust by showcasing the tablet's reliability in preserving precious family memories and milestones.

Gavin Schneider Productions collaborated with Samsung, a leading technology company, for a production aimed at showing off the exceptional qualities of Samsung's new tablet. The tablet was designed to be durable, user-friendly, reliable, and able to withstand an active lifestyle. It was also intended to be waterproof, dirt-proof, and difficult to break.

To meet the objectives of the brief, Gavin Schneider Productions took on an ambitious approach. They strategically planned indoor and outdoor shoots, ensuring a wide range of environments to demonstrate the tablet's resilience. Locations included tree settings, forests, and nighttime scenes, all in Cape Town.

Cape Town's abundant natural light, known for its brightness, warmth, and vivid colours, provided an ideal backdrop for natural-lit shots. However, creating rain during the South African summer proved challenging, as Cape Town typically experiences rainfall during winter. To overcome this obstacle, the production team called upon a special effects water truck equipped with a power hose and sprinkling system to simulate rain as needed.

In order to capture the tablet's performance in low-light conditions, the team conducted night shoots. They carefully managed the lighting setup, ensuring the crew's presence did not interfere with the beauty of the stars. This required them to work in the dark, relying on their expertise and experience to achieve the desired visual effects.

The true stars of the production were a local young girl, specifically cast for her natural charm and ability to handle each setup effortlessly. Her presence added authenticity and relatability to the campaign, showing that the tablet was suitable for people of all ages. The chosen location, a sprawling manor house nestled within its own private forest in Constantia, provided a picturesque and versatile setting that catered to various scenes. This one-stop production shop allowed for seamless coordination and minimized logistical challenges.
