Behind every successful production is weeks, and often months, of planning. While our clients experience a seamless production from the moment they arrive in Cape Town, our team has already been hard at work bringing every detail together.

It Starts with the Brief

Every production is different, and so is every brief.

Some clients come to us with a fully developed creative treatment, detailed shot lists and clear production requirements. Others simply know they want to shoot in Cape Town and need guidance on how to bring their vision to life.

Our first step is always understanding exactly what our client needs. If we need more clarity, we'll jump on a call, ask the right questions and build a detailed quotation that accurately reflects the scope of the production. We believe transparency from the outset lays the foundation for a successful project.

Finding the Perfect Location

Cape Town's versatility is one of the reasons it continues to attract productions from around the world.

From sweeping beaches and dramatic coastlines to modern villas, family homes, vineyards, English gardens and vibrant city streets, the possibilities are endless.

To make the location selection process as easy as possible, we use a premium production platform that allows clients to review curated location options remotely. Rather than sending endless email attachments, we present beautifully organised location packages tailored specifically to each brief.

Clients can shortlist their favourites, request updated imagery where needed and, if necessary, our experienced location scouts will visit the properties to capture fresh images or videos. This allows clients to make informed decisions and, in many cases, confirm locations before they even arrive in Cape Town.

Building the Right Team

Once the project is confirmed, our producers immediately begin assembling every moving part behind the scenes.

Locations, casting, crew, permits, equipment, accommodation, transport, restaurant reservations, visas and production schedules all begin coming together simultaneously.

Our long standing relationships within the industry allow us to build highly experienced crews who have worked together across countless productions. These trusted relationships help every production run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards.

Casting follows a similarly streamlined process. Using the same production platform, clients receive carefully curated casting packages based on their brief. Shortlisted talent can submit updated Polaroids and introduction videos, giving clients complete confidence in their casting decisions before arriving in Cape Town.

Once our clients arrive, it's time to bring months of planning to life.

Our production team welcomes them at the airport before heading off for location recces, hotel check ins or perhaps dinner at one of Cape Town's many exceptional restaurants.

Before the cameras roll, we hold a comprehensive pre production meeting where every department comes together. From photographers and stylists to production managers and assistants, everyone leaves with a clear understanding of the schedule and expectations for the days ahead.

When Shoot Day Arrives

While shoot days may appear effortless, that's only because every detail has already been carefully considered.

Our experienced production managers quietly keep everything moving behind the scenes, adapting to schedule changes, solving unexpected challenges and ensuring every department has exactly what they need.

Meanwhile, familiar rituals become part of every production. Fresh coffee is ready for the early starts. Oscar's famous toasted sandwiches often make an appearance to kick off the morning, while a fire is usually lit for a traditional South African braai lunch that brings everyone together in the middle of a busy day.

These moments matter just as much as the work itself.
